National Domestic Violence Hotline (NDVH) Surveys on Law Enforcement Response

They surveyed 637 victims, 328 of whom had not yet interacted with law enforcement and 309 who had. Both the women who had called the police and the women who hadn’t called the police shared a strong reluctance to turning to law enforcement for help. Read overview.
