Deadline extension for Closeouts, Performance Reports and Federal Financial Reports
AVA recently partnered with the National Association of VOCA Assistance Administrators (NAVAA) and the National Association of Crime Victims Compensation Boards (NACVCB) on a letter to OJP regarding ongoing challenges with the JustGrants and ASAP systems. Below is a link to a copy of the letter for your reference.
Acting Assistant Attorney General Maureen Henneberg, with the Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice responded to the joint letter as follows:
Closeouts:
“For awards that ended September 30, 2020 and October 31, 2020, the submission of final reports, deliverables, closeout packages, and final drawdowns has been extended until February 28, 2021. This will allow for the FY 2017 VOCA Formula grantees to continue to liquidate their awards through February 28th .”
Performance Reports:
“For awards for which Performance Reports were due between October 1, 2020 and January 31, 2021, DOJ has extended the reporting deadline until February 28, 2021. Therefore, currently there are no funds suspended for delinquent progress reports.”
Federal Financial Reports (FFR):
“DOJ has lifted the suspension of funds for Federal Financial Reports for the for the period ending September 30, 2020 and the period ending December 31, 2020 if they have not been submitted. Award recipients will be able to submit FFRs after the deadlines, without consequence. “

We are also reaching out to an identified point of contact to streamline requests that have not been achieved resolution through the help desk staff.
