Important Info Re AVA Membership!
Good morning and Happy Monday!
AVA is bringing back the AVA Connect Conversations, starting this month. We will have AVA Connect conversations every other month. The first conversation will take place at 2:00pm EST on Wednesday, April 19th and is open to AVA dues paying members and non-dues paying members.
For our first conversation, we will not have any planned discussion topics meaning that you are free to discuss anything VAWA-related that is most pressing for you at this time. The AVA Connect Conversations in June, August, and October are currently intended for AVA dues-paying states/territories and we will have specific topics that we plan to discuss. (If you are not sure if your agency has paid dues, you can reach out to me via email at barry@avadministrators.org). The final conversation in December will again be open to all administrators.
If you would like to participate in the April 19th AVA Connect Conversation, please let me know.
Finally, I am attaching two documents that might prove useful to you.
- An AVA Fact Sheet that explains some of the core services that all VAWA Administrators receive and also details the services dues-paying members receive as well. This can be a handy one-pager that highlights the benefits of having an AVA membership.
- A Calendar of Events for 2023. This calendar will change throughout the year as items get added but it should give you a good overview of upcoming events.
