AVA/OVW Conversation – February 3, 2025

Hello all,

I hope this email finds you well. AVA’s Board of Directors and OVW held our quarterly meeting today, and it was very productive. They expressed their appreciation for the questions that were submitted for discussion. Unfortunately, they were unable to provide specific guidance and direct responses to the recent EO’s and memos, as they have not received any at this time.

What was clearly communicated, however, is that they have been, and will continue to operate, business as usual until they are told otherwise. They also requested that we continue to submit questions from the field as we receive them. If they are unable to provide an answer, they will let us know.

Amy Loder reassured us that as OVW receives new guidance, they will promptly share the information with state administrators.

Additionally, here are a few takeaways from the meeting:

  1. All reporting systems are available and will continue to be accessible.
  2. Ensure all your contacts in Just Grants are accurate and up-to-date.
  3. Participate in the Administrator listening session being hosted this week. Details for the session are listed below.
